It tells the further adventures of Ben and Obie, who debuted in my first ever short story for Dreamspinner. That was oh-so-long-ago, when “Back in the Saddle” appeared in the anthology Know When to Hold ‘Em. I’m so happy to read your post! Mostly because I’m glad you liked the novella, but also because it means someone is reading this blog! I wouldn’t be surprised if Ben and Obie ride again. I’m thinking that Porter in particular needs a good story, and Lonnie and Juanita need to add to their family.

i’d be doing the Happy dance if i get to see Obie again, he’s such a brat sometimes
and yeah, ditto on Porter, but i’d like to see more of Billy & Dex. they have such an … unique relationship.
